Weaving together food policy and community action: an agenda for change
Alternatives is parteners in the Food Secure Conference which will be held the 26 to the 28th of november at the University of Montreal.

The goal has been to create a conference where we can weave policy, as a framework, together with the amazing array of actions – threads in all colours and textures – that form the food movement in this country. The conference will feature ten policy papers developed by people in communities across Canada through the People’s Food Policy Project, and also discussions of many different initiatives and approaches to local food sovereignty action, in Quebec and across the continent. This is an opportunity to broaden and deepen our understanding of the food system in Canada and globally.
