Get involved in the EcoFest

The Rooftop garden project will participate in the Eco-Fest on April 29 and 30 at St-Jean Berchmans Church (5945 Cartier, corner Rosemont).

"L’ÉcoFest a pour but d’informer une population hétérogène sur les alternatives d’une consommation quotidienne plus écologique et qui vise la qualité de la santé. Durant ces journées de foire informative une quarantaine d'organismes du Québec tiendront des kiosques d’informations dans la salle principale pour présenter leurs produits et/ou services écologiques et santé, pendant la tenue de conférences sur des enjeux environnementaux, dans la salle adjacente. Un souper végétarien copieux sera offert gratuitement à tous afin de donner de l'énergie pour les spectacles de musique endiablée, les prestations de conteurs légendaires, les projections de documentaires engageants et les spectacles de cirques magiques qui suivront, séparés par un tournoi d’improvisation aux thématiques environnementales étalé sur les deux soirées."

Rooftop Gardens at the World Social Forum

The Rooftop Garden team made a big splash at this year’s World Social Forum in Caracas, Venezuela. The five-day event was a chance to bring the ideas shaping our rooftop gardens to a new audience, and talk to people all around the world doing urban agriculture.

This new Quebecois web portal, which will function somewhat likeGoogle.com, is meant to guide Que�?bec consumers seeking to make ethical purchasing decisions. Aside from price and brand, ethiquette.ca leadsvisitors to consider the larger effects of their everyday choices, leading the visitor towards those products made by businesses, which have taken the lead in social and environmental responsibility. To date, ethiquette.ca is the first service that brings this type of information to a large mainstreamaudience.
