Where does the land stop and the house begin? My parents spent the weekend on Denman Island, off the coast of Vancouver Island, and sent me a picture of a green roof with a difference! It's just one more testament to the endless possibilities of rooftop greening.

Ou termine la terre et commence la maison? Mes parents ont passé la fin de semaine sur l'ile Denman à coté de l’ile Vancouver, et ils m’ont envoyé un photo d’un toit vert unique. Voici le message de mon père :

"This is a view of the roof of the house next door. The woman who previously owned the B&B subdivided and built next door. She was so concerned about blocking the view that she buried her house in the hillside and bermed right up over the roof. I thought it was a hillside until I noticed the chimney, a little to right of centre. The house is very efficient to heat, of course. "
